Hey guys! Happy Memorial Day weekend.  I hope you all are celebrating the holiday as you please, with BBQ'S and sunshine and laughter and friends.  

This is my last post here in Oakland before venturing off to a new beginning in Portland, Oregon.  I honestly cannot believe the time is finally here.  We have most of our belongings packed up in boxes lying in the middle of our apartment, waiting idly by until the day we finally load them up into the truck and drive off into the sunrise (yes, we are leaving at the crack of dawn to get up there as soon as we can.. yikes).  

I almost didn't do an official "last blog post in Oakland" because I honestly thought I wouldn't have the time.  But surprise, surprise, being an adult and actually getting things done in a timely manner rather than procrastinating to the very last minute actually pays off.. and in my case left me with some free moments to shoot some photos.  I'm so grateful it worked out this way.  I had been wanting to shoot an outfit post in this little spot one last time before moving, and I guess it was meant to be.  I kept the look somewhat simple here and very "me" with all old clothes from my closet and my trusty nosebleed boots (they are honestly the only heel I wear these days).  

I got a little emotional walking back from taking the photos.. I stopped along the way any second I saw something that caught my eye and snapped a pic and took it all in because I knew it would be the last time I'd walk my familiar path in my soon to be former neighborhood.  Do moments ever catch you like that?  Where the thought of how fleeting yet beautiful life can be all at once is crazy intimidating? I don't know.. I tend to get a little overwhelmed by it all.. but the funny thing is I wouldn't trade it for anything.  

Portland, here I come.  Get ready for me. ;)
