Flower Goth.

Dress: Thrifted
Shoes: T.U.K.

Where do I even begin with this dress?  I bought it at a thrift store in Hayward, CA a couple of summers ago and it is one of those pieces that will probably stay in my wardrobe forever.  The tag is H&M and while I do not shop at H&M stores anymore (for ethical reasons), I have no problem wearing the label if I can proudly say that I found the item while thrifting.

The pattern and detailing of the dress reminds me of something Drew Barrymore would have worn in the 90's.  I put it on and I am taken to a different time and place entirely.  The dress is so dynamic on its own that I tend to keep the jewelry simple in order to let the piece shine.  I often wear it to work paired with more "professional" accessories such as flat shoes and opaque tights, but for the everyday I like to grunge it up a little bit with fishnets, my nosebleed boots and an easy, messy-on-purpose updo.

A few of the full look shots in this post are a bit awkward because it was surprisingly windy when I was taking these pictures.. so I apologize if I look grumpy in some of them!  I was probably just grumbling at the fact that my hair wouldn't stay in place and my dress wouldn't stop blowing every which way.  Haha.

Anyway, I hope you found some inspiration in this post!  And I hope I have continued to inspire you to go out and thrift, or at the very least dig into your closet and reinvent pieces you already own.

Happy almost Spring!  Love to you all =^.^=

  3. This outfit is so delicate and so rad at the same time!! I love how you kept the look with your personal and unique style! Your hair, again, very cool and different (in a good way)! I always love your hairstyles!
I think is super cool the idea of reinvent pieces! I do this all the time haha. It's a great thing to stimulate our creativity and, moreover, it is a form of conscious consumption!
Anyway, I loved the post <3
