Hello everyone! As you can probably already tell, this is not a usual update one might be used to seeing here on my blog. I've decided to take a little hiatus from my normal outfit posts because this entire month has been kind of crazy and I've barely had a moment to sit down and update the blog, let alone do an entire photo shoot! It is my birthday month, along with tax month (ew, ick!) and I've kind of been nonstop on the go since the beginning of April, not to mention I was out of town last weekend and will be out of town this weekend as well. Busy busy little bee! Not to fret, however! For those who genuinely look forward to my typical updates, I will be back to regularly scheduled programming next week, along with some new and exciting things I can't wait to share. ;)
In the meantime, I decided to do a random collection of some of my favorite items that I own. If you follow me on Instagram, you will recognize all of these photos, so I am sorry if you were hoping for something different haha. For those who don't follow me or do not have an Instagram, this post should be relatively refreshing and a little bit fun. :) Some of the items below are clothing, shoes, and accessories, but others are simply treasures here and there that bring me joy. I apologize if some of the photos are a little more grainy and less clear than others. The pictures were either taken with my phone camera or "normal" camera so it's kind of a grab bag as far as the quality of images. Anyway, this introduction is long enough. Time to get to the good stuff!
This is simply a collection of some of my favorite shirts that I love to wear on those comfy, everyday-days (yes, everyday-days) when I feel like being super casual (which is pretty much all of the time). Some of the shirts I have to (er.. get to) share with my husband. Booo... I mean yayyy.
Top left to top right: 1. Iron Maiden (hubby original, purchased in Downtown Berkeley), 2. Dethklok (hubby original, purchased at a Dethklok show), 3.Blind Guardian (hubby original, purchased in Downtown Berkeley).
Bottom left to right: 1. Three Wolves (Mine! Purchased at Goodwill), 2. Zero Friends Friday the 13th (Mine! A gift to me from the artists over at Zero Friends. They are absolutely amazing dudes), 3. Pegasus in Space (Mine! Purchased from an online vintage store through Ebay).
Pink metallic creepers oh my! If you are not a first time reader you are fully aware of my obsession with creepers. They're a perfect shoe. P-E-R-F-E-C-T. And if I had it my way, I would own every make and model. These pink babies are my newest faves in my personal collection. I had been wanting this very pair for what seemed like forever, and they finally went on sale over at T.U.K. Weeeee!
Pink kitty cat flats! These little sweethearts were sent to me as a gift from a dear friend and I have been in love ever since. How adorable are they? I mean really? The best part might be the fuzziness on the inside, making my little feet all sorts of cozy and comfy. :)
I featured this adorable little Valfre "Fly me to the moon" tote bag awhile back on the blog, but I didn't own it at the time! It was a wishlist item for Christmas, but now I can proudly call it mine. (Hey look! I ryhmed!). Anyway. Hehe it's a great little bag and fits perfectly with my casual wardrobe. I'm looking forward to using it as my beach bag in Santa Cruz this weekend. :D (I am such a cheeseball. I'm fully aware.)
Speaking of Valfre, I just got this choker a few days ago as a birthday gift to myself haha. I follow Valfre on Instagram and when I saw this beaut while I was scrolling through her feed one day, I absolutely had to call it my own. It is amaaazzzing, and so different from what I usually sport around my neck. Change is fuuun!
THIS. Because who doesn't love a mood ring? I mean for real. If you've been pining for one yourself, just head on over to Etsy, search "mood ring" (how redundant am I being right now) and you will be greeted with a plethora of designs. Yayyy. Support independent businesses! :)
Nevermind the fact that I need to seriously invest in some decent hand lotion, this is my favorite nail color at the moment. It's so simple and sweet. The brand is Essie and the shade is called "Muchi Muchi". I've been loving light pink accents lately (shocker, right?) and this color is purrrfect.
My Little Ponies! These are the two newest additions to our plastic miniature collection: Applejack and Rarity.
And here are the rest of 'em! Left to right: Shutterfly, Baby Applejack (foreground), Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity. All that's missing are Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie. I have them displayed in an antique hutch that my Mom and Dad passed down to my husband and me. Anyway, they're pretty much irresistable (you have a cold, black heart if you disagree).
My husband and I recently purchased a shelf for our records, books and other such knick-knacks, and this is part of the shelf's decor. I still have other little items I want to add but for now this is a good start. I think my favorite part is the little skull ornament, because everything else is so girly and feminine, the skull seems to fit in quite ironically/perfectly.
A kitty, hot tea, and a soft bed. Need I say more?
Hehe there you have it folks! My little collection of my favorite things. I hope you enjoyed this post, even though it is very different from the usual Susannicorn entries. Honestly, I love when other bloggers post about their current favorite things or items that bring them happiness because it gives me a more personal and sincere peek into their everyday lives and who they are as individuals. What are some of your favorite things? I would love for you to share!
Thanks so much for reading. I'll be back on track next week, I promise! Stay tuned!
Love to you all. =^.^=
