Hello everyone. Another Thursday post it is, so let's get straight to it!
This shirt is great. :) I bought it last Sunday at a local Art Collective here in Oakland called "Grease Diner". I hadn't been in before and was doing some shopping at the Goodwill next door to them so I decided to pop in and see what they were all about. I immediately spotted this shirt and had to have it. Yes, I am absolutely a feminist. No, that does not mean that I am a man-hater or that I don't shave my legs (or whatever else) and that I am anti-makeup, anti-dresses, anti-girliness (I mean obviously), it means that I believe in the right to have a choice to be whoever I want, however I want. It means that I believe in the freedom to be myself. It means that I believe in equality and the right to choose. It means that I love myself, regardless of what anyone else thinks of me. A thousand times yes, I am a feminist.
((Stepping off my soapbox now))
I had been trying to think of various eclectic ways to wear the shirt, and this is one of the combinations I came up with. In channeling the character of Judy Funnie from one of the most awesome cartoons ever (hehe), I decided to treat my red velvet dress as a skirt (I need more skirts in my wardrobe!) and tied up the shirt around my waist to help with the illusion. I thought it quite fitting to wear my docs in this post, and of course the outfit wouldn't be complete without my ripped tights. Aaand adding a touch of playful girlishness, I topped it all off with my burgundy beret. I gotta say, I am quite happy with the outcome!
That's it for tonight! Thank you so much for stopping by.. hopefully you enjoyed my ramblings, as I am forever seeking to inspire. Have a beautiful weekend!
Love to you all. =^.^=
