In Between Days.

Hello one and all! Yay!  I am finally using a REAL camera in this post (in the past I was using either my phone or computer). The picture quality is a million times better and I thank my sweet husband Aaron for snapping these shots. :)

I must first apologize for not updating in a couple of weeks!  I could come up with many colorful excuses but alas I will blame it on neglect and lack of inspiration during the transitioning seasons. (Seriously, the Bay Area cannot make up its mind on what season it wants to be!) However this week has been a bit different.  The first day of Fall was on Monday, and the weather has ever so slowly been changing to a more Autumn tone.  I have been aching to don more Fall-oriented clothing because I love layers and tights and knee-socks and beanies and clothes that hug you and make you feel warm and loved.  I have also been obsessed with dresses as of late.  They are extremely easy to throw on and so versatile and super awesome to layer for cooler weather that honestly, I would wear a dress every day of the week if I could.  That being said, my collection is growing so be expecting to see more dresses in future posts.

Moving on, this is currently one of my favorite Fall dresses.  My love for floral print will continue to pop up in my posts no matter what season, and the 3/4 length sleeves are a perfect touch in adding a little coziness to the outfit.  You can also be expecting to see a ton of knee socks in future posts as they are absolutely perfect to sport on a chilly day.  I decided to pair this particular outfit with my ankle booties and cranberry beret (I've had the beret since I was 12!) and immediately fell in love with the entire combination.  (Sadly most of my outfit is not thrifted or secondhand in this post, oh well.)

I am super excited to continue dressing up for Fall, my favorite season next to Summer.  There is an eerie kind of magic in the transitioning from warm and bright to cool and soft and that in between kind of cozy feeling that Fall exudes is nothing short of beautiful.  I am sitting in a candlelit room sipping tea as I type and there is nowhere I would rather be and no season I'd rather be welcoming.

Thank you so much for reading.  I have a ton of posts in the works so please be patient!  In the meantime, love yourselves, love life, and love each other.  ;)

Oh! And love to you all. =^.^=

Out come the wolves.

Hello Everyone!  I am sorry for the delay in posts lately.. life happens.  Nothing bad, I've simply been busy with work and play.  :)

First off, hurray!  I managed to smile in at least one of the pictures!  Haha.  I have been dying to do a post showcasing my "new" wolf tee I scored at Goodwill several weeks ago.  It was featured in an outfit collection a couple of posts back but I wanted to do an update where I am actually wearing the shirt.  I had been dreaming up ideas on how to style the shirt, what pieces to pair with it (you know, the usual debacle), and on a whim I came up with the idea to wear it over an adorable little sleeveless black dress I've had in my wardrobe for years now.  I think I purchased the dress at Forever 21 circa 2007 (seriously, it's been THAT long) and it has been sitting in my closet waiting ever so patiently to be worn again.  (Of course I haven't kept all of my clothes in my wardrobe that I've purchased over the years, but this dress is one that I have not been able to part with.)  Anyway, I decided to tie the tee into a knot to make it more form fitting around my waist, and to also give the illusion of the dress as a skirt.  For finishing touches, I paired the ensemble with my brand new pork pie hat (which I purchased last Sunday at this awesome little hat store in Berkeley), and my studded black creepers (always creepers :P).  I gotta say, I am quite pleased with the results.  I am constantly dreaming up new outfit ideas for clothes I already own without constantly repeating the same look or style over and over again.  And while there is nothing wrong with a healthy dose of repetition here and there, it is always a treat when your imagination can create something new out of something old.

That is all for now!  I will try to update again within the week. So far I've been pretty consistent about updating at least once a week, more or less, and this will continue to be my goal.  I seriously love blogging and posting my outfit creations for you guys, because I know that you enjoy them, and I love bringing joy to others in any little way that I can.  Thank you so much for reading!

Love to you all.  =^.^=

Chasing Summer.

Hello my wonderful, beautiful readers.  I know I said I wouldn't be updating for another few days or so, but this amazingly warm labor day weather inspired me so much that I couldn't resist posting my (probably) favorite summer outfit.  Okay so I know I have a lot of favorites, but I've had this playsuit in my wardrobe for about 3 years now, and I haven't grown tired of it.  I scored it while perusing a local boutique here in the Oakland/Berkeley area (I'll post a link to the shop down below), and it has made me smile ever since.  For this post I chose to pair it with my light pink creepers and purple socks because that's what unicorns do.  And yes, I am well aware that this season is coming to an end, and I know it's like, super cool to love cold weather instead of warm weather and be all dark and mysterious and covered up or whatever, but I am a California girl through and through, summer is my bread and butter, and they don't call the west coast the best coast for nothin'. ;)

Thanks for reading, and stay magical!

Love to you all. =^.^=
